Skybox Olympic basketball cards 1992 include cards of all of the players from the 1992 Dream Team, called "The Greatest Team Ever Assembled" on the box and that is precisely what most basketball fans think of when they think of that team.  It was loaded with talent including Michael Jordan, David Robinson, Magic Johnson, Patrick Ewing, John Stockton, Isiah  Thomas, Larry Bird, and so many others.  It was made up of all superstars, and they were the best players in the game at the time.

This year's cards are great, and I will be providing an article summary as well as a pictorial overview of the 1992 Skybox Olympic basketball card set here.  Please join the home page of this community by clicking the banner above - My Baseball Card Space as it is free and you can interact with over 300 members.

The cards are pictured below of Michael Jordan, 1992 Skybox Olympic #38 and it says "NBA ROOKIE" on it with a picture of him going up for a dunk.  This is a nice card, it is tough to find values for it, but it is worth what someone will pay for it when accurately described.  The John Stockton card says "NBA PLAYOFFS" and is card #87.

Some of the other cards in the set that I have are as follows: Charles Barkley "OFF THE COURT" #5.  This is a great card of Sir Charles, though the Star Company rookie cards from the 1980's certainly trump these a lot of times.  1992 Skybox David Robinson "NBA ALL-STAR RECORD" #79 is another card here.  Patrick Ewing "NBA BEST GAME" #22 is a great card as well showing the former New York Knick in basketball action dribbling.  The coach Chuck Daly is here as well, #94 "NBA COACHING RECORD."  Karl Malone #46 "NBA UPDATE" is another great card, all of the titles on the card are as pictured for the cards of Jordan and Stockton.  There are also combination cards such as Magic on Bird #102 where Magic Johnson provides a quote about Larry Bird.

As we get set to prepare for the Olympic basketball team fielded in the 2012 London Summer Olympics, who will be the next great player to make a name for themself in the Games?  Time will tell that, as well as if any other team will be compared to the original Dream Team.

It is going to be fun to watch. Go U.S.A!  This article was written by the site owner and administrator of  My Baseball Card Space
