Articles written by the site administrator of this site (me) are posted in links here as well to find you even more detailed resources than what is provided on this page. This site can help both employers and employees find staff and can help workers find the right job. There is even a forum at this site http://www.mybaseballcardspace.info/forums where you can look for employment free. This specific article will highlight key components of a sample resume for seeking a job in accounting.
First of all, I do not want to post an actual sample resume for accounting here. I got most of the ideas for sample resumes from other sites and I don't want to infringe on other people's information as far as sample resumes go. I have a good idea of what should go on them though. So what I will do is list some of these following key components and then you can go on Google and search for your favorite sample resume template and that way you can find one to place this information in, as it pertains to you.
The following are some key components in a sample accounting resume. Your full name, email address, phone number, and address should be at the top of the resume. Next, if you have educational experience relevant to accounting, including a high school diploma, make sure to list that on there. The number of years of experience you have in the field should be listed as well. If you did not have a previous job in accounting, list your most recent jobs that highlight your strengths. Be prepared to explain how they will help you in the accounting field. Next, you will want to highlight software that you are familiar with. If you are a Quickbooks, Quicken, or similar type of software expert, highlighting that will prove that you understand the software that is most commonly used in corporate America. Next, list hobbies and things you do outside of work, nowadays employers like employees who enjoy life, and have interests besides working to help them offset the stresses of daily work. If you are proficient at general typing, 10 key, Excel, Word, basic computer skills, etc. be sure to highlight that. Next, briefly go into detailed descriptions of the work you have performed either in training, school, and/or on the job in the accounting field. Try to put yourself in your prospective employers' shoes and try to think of what they would like to see on the application. Go out there and find that perfect accounting job, it is out there waiting for you.

To land that perfect job in business, you have to be qualified. You also have to be able to present yourself in a professional manner with dress, appearance, and actions. You are your best asset and you are your best salesperson. If you cannot make someone believe that you have the ability to help their company, why do they need you. They don't, and you will get passed over for someone that better fits their needs. A long look in the mirror finding your strengths, which everyone has, and stressing those, while minimizing blunders and weaknesses, is sure to impress your interviewer in this fast paced business world we live in today. Happy job hunting.
