Panini Prestige basketball cards debut in the 2009-10 basketball season and are out now. Since Panini has now come out with basketball cards, there are various features of this set and of their basketball cards that are very intriguing. First of all, Kobe Bryant is their official exclusive trading card partner and his autographs and game worn jersey cards are now available in the unopened packs of these cards. Blake Griffin, the #1 draft selection in the 2009-10 NBA draft, highlights the class of rookies which include event worn jersey cards and also autographs. This set just came out and this site, my baseball card space , has opened a box of them and there is a video on Youtube courtesy of the site as well. This article will review the cards including the rookie cards and veterans available in the set.
The product review video for this set while the packs were being opened is posted here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvxukTItvhI

The rest of the cards for sale from 2009-10 Prestige can be found through the forum and going to that link above can help you to find them. Now we will get into the product review of the cards.
The hobby box contained 4 autographs and game worn jersey cards (4 in total with 2 autographs and 2 jerseys with one being a rookie and one being a superstar).
There was an autographed rookie card of Darren Collison /399, an NBA Draft Jeff Teague autographed insert card, a Stat Jersey card of Dwight Howard, and a sweet Prestigious Picks rookie insert jersey card of Terrence Williams serial numbered out of 50. The cards have a great design, it is unique to Prestige, and 2009 features great quality in design different from other years of Prestige.
The base set impressed me because there not only are cards of today's superstars, there are also veteran cards. The veterans include many retired players and some of them are not the usual ones that you would expect to be there. They include names such as Jerry West, Slick Watts (an unexpected player to me), Dave Bing, Bob McAdoo, Sidney Moncrief, Bob Dandridge, and many others. All of those retired players named were in the box that was opened. All of today's stars are in the base set as well such as Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, and Yao Ming.
Here are some of the rookie cards that were in the hobby box. This is all from one hobby box so keep in mind that you get a lot of nice cards in each box. Each pack contains one rookie card and/or an insert card. The packs that have insert cards almost all, if not all (do not remember) have a rookie card as well. Numbered rookies out of 999 were as follows: Marcus Thornton (2), Patrick Beverley, Jordan Hill, Chase Budinger, and there was a Prestigious Picks Earl Clark parallel card numbered out of 25. There was a Stars of the NBA insert card of Kobe Bryant, rookie cards that were not numbered including Stephen Curry and Hasheem Thabeet. , many more rookie and insert cards as well. The box has a lot of book value in it and you surely will get more book value than you will pay for a box. Also there was a base card of Lebron James, a rookie card of Terrence Williams, a Tyreke Evans rookie card, and many more. The box was fun to open.
