Some of my favorite baseball cards and basketball cards come from the vintage years of the 1970's and the early to mid 1980's. Hakeem Olajuwon rookie cards, Clyde Drexler and Dominique Wilkins rookie cards, Charles Barkley rookies, and Karl Malone and Isiah Thomas rookie cards are also among my favorites in basketball, along with Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. In baseball cards, for the 1980's I like Rickey Henderson rookie cards, Cal Ripken Jr., Mark McGwire, Jose Canseco, Don Mattingly, Roger Clemens, Kirk Gibson, Fernando Valenzuela, along with Ozzie Smith rookie baseball cards from 1979.

There are many reasons to join this sports card community, one of which is that you can message the site members on the main message board, find more collectors and possibly find great deals on baseball cards. Included on the articles pages are the rookie baseball cards from 2010 and 2009, as listed, Bryce Harper and Stephen Strasburg cards including their refractors and superfractor cards as available. Also, the 2010 NBA Draft Class including John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Larry Sanders, Greg Monroe, Evan Turner, and all of the great draft picks have their Panini and Upper Deck rookie basketball cards here, as well as their rookie year official NBA replica and authentic jerseys and those can be found here. A rookie card from Michael Jordan's 1984-85 Star Company regular issue team bagged sets can sell for thousands in high graded condition. You will be likely to be able to find them because it will not cost you anything to join, and as I have found, when I list my baseball cards and sports cards on here, they can sit listed for free until someone inquires about them. There are also many things to do here including the sports card chat on this page. Please tell your friends about the site and thank you all for visiting and joining. Many of the new articles will consist of famous rookie cards and star baseball cards from the 1980's, including many that are in my own collection. This site was started to help baseball card and sports card collectors have a place where they can network and find other members to buy, sell, and trade their baseball card collections. The site hopefully provides an alternative to baseball card shows and baseball card shops in the regard that you do not have to leave your house to be able to make some sports card deals. Some of my favorite cards are Michael Jordan rookie cards, though in my sports card collection I do not have any. Mickey Mantle rookie cards are also great, though admittingly, my baseball card collection does not contain any of those either. Ones that I do have consist of basketball rookie cards of John Stockton, Clyde Drexler rc, Patrick Ewing, Scottie Pippen rookies, and many others. I enjoy collecting cards and building this community and baseball card (now talk-baseball.com) forum for it is a fantastic hobby for me. I hope that everyone finds a place to post their baseball card pictures, as well as a place to watch videos of baseball cards. In the future, more things can be added to this page as deemed fit. If you have something you think would be worthy of being on here, please let me know and we will see what we can do.

To provide an overview of some of the articles that my baseball card space RSS news feed contains, I will try to think of some of the subjects. For one, as the 2008 Beijing Olympics and for the future London 2010 Olympics, the site posted many articles about Team U.S.A., and those articles are quite special as it helped the site get off the ground. Another great area of articles consists of sports card values and product reviews, and baseball cards from the 1980's are well represented. This is because those were the years that I started collecting, and I have a great deal of knowledge about those baseball card sets. The 1988 Topps, 1987, 1989, 1985, 1984, 1983 Topps, and 1980 Topps years are some of my favorites, both in baseball and football cards. The rookie football cards from 1980, 1981, 1982, 1984, and 1986 contain some high profile and valuable rookie cards and still can be found today at affordable prices. 1989 Topps Traded baseball cards contain Ken Griffey Jr. extended rookie cards (xrc's) and are a great set of cards. 1986 Topps Traded cards are also great as well and include Barry Bonds' xrc. You will find many article pages with detailed product listings (at the best possible price on Ebay) of your favorite rookie baseball cards, game worn jersey cards, autographs, and even some of my baseball cards listed when I list some.
