This article will talk about my favorite Fleer sports cards which include cards from baseball, basketball, and football cards with an emphasis on rookies and rookie game worn jersey and autographed cards.  As far as vintage cards and ones from the 1980's go, there were no manufacturer products autos or game used cards.

That first link there will show you more items from 1986-87 Fleer Basketball cards.  Those are my favorites of all time for Fleer cards.  That set has rookie cards of Michael Jordan, Clyde Drexler, Akeem Olajuwon (Phi Slamma Jamma), Karl Malone, Chris Mullin, Isiah Thomas, Dominique Wilkins, and many others including great superstar cards of Julius Erving, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.  This set is very valuable and highly sought after to say the least.

Another great year of cards for basketball from Fleer is 1987-88, followed by 1988-89.   Fleer dabbled in sports cards off and on until 1981 in baseball where they then started producing cards for many years in a row until they finally ended up eventually joining Upper Deck somehow.  I say somehow because I never read up on the details surrounding the company changing owners.

1989-90 Fleer Basketball cards were still produced in limited quantities, though there were not as many rookie cards that were of hall of famers in there.  The cards though, even Michael Jordan, are worth substantially less than the three previous years.  I mention these cards from Fleer often on my blog, I like them.  All of the links that describe a set will take you to more information about them.  (There are over 350 articles at this site at least, not counting product listings)

For autographs of rookies in football, check out this great card set from  Fleer.  Here is the 1999 Fleer Tradition Fresh Ink Autographed insert card football set autographed card highlights.  Stated print run per Beckett is 200 serial numbered sets.  It has rookie year autographs of Donovan McNabb, Ricky Williams, Edgerrin James and Torry Holt along with many others.  I also like 1998, which had the Peyton Manning rookie card and Randy Moss too.

The complete set of 14 cards from 1999 Fleer Tradition Fresh Ink autographs books at $400 in this Beckett Plus.

To find these cards on Ebay, there is an Ebay banner below this article.

Fleer baseball cards produced a 67 card set in 1963.   It was awesome, and is quite valuable to this day.

1981-1989 Fleer baseball cards were around the time I grew up and I like those as well.

Feel free to browse around the site and forum, there are many articles, forum posts and places to go to find more cards.
