This article will focus on 1990 baseball cards including the brands Bowman, Topps, Upper Deck, Score, Fleer, and Donruss. There also is the My Baseball Card Space Forum where you can post messages to members, comment on items posted, and find trading partners to buy, sell and trade your sports cards.  Baseball card collections easily are bought and sold here and if you browse the pages, you will find many things to do here and the community is free for everyone to join.  The home page of the sister site, which has article summaries of my baseball card space, is also a great place to locate your favorite unopened boxes and collectibles. The 1992 Bowman baseball card set is the centerpiece of this baseball card year.

To begin the discussion of the card manufacturers from 1992, the best ones in terms of value are 1992 Bowman.  Please also remember that the 1992 Fleer Update set also contains a highly valued Mike Piazza rookie card, that is worth obtaining in addition to his Bowman rookie card.

1992 Bowman baseball cards are very tough to find at a great price and offer investors and collectors one of the best variety of rookies and stars available in a regular series baseball card set.  Included are rookie cards of Manny Ramirez, Mariano Rivera, Mike Piazza, Cliff Floyd, Alan Embree, Garret Anderson, Carlos Delgado, Troy Percival and others.  The boxes are still fairly affordable and the player selection and future value potential is outstanding.  This set is highly recommended.  This rookie card selection is very wide and offers a great diversity of rookie cards for your collection in just one year of cards.

Keeping a complete set of these cards or an unopened wax box is a great idea for collectors.  It has a quality selection of cards including many hall of famers and future hall of famers.  Many of the rookies should be shoe-ins for the hall of fame.  These cards were limited in production, so that also plays a role in the rookie card prices and values being elevated compared to rookie card prices of the same player in other sets.  Also, this set includes rookie cards of some players that did not have another rookie card.  This is the only place to get rookie cards from a major league baseball licensed set in 1992.

Out of sets liked by collectors, the collectors I have noticed all collectively believe that this set is limited in production and that it is a great set to own.  When they are asked which set is quality and which one will go up in value in the coming years, this is a set that always comes up in conversations as being limited and/or having the potential to rise in price.  It is highly recommended by the author (me, the site administrator) that collectors own these cards.  That does not guarantee that they will rise in price as they may not, but the player selection and limited availability are two aspects uncommon in early 1990's baseball cards.

For a discussion on 1992 Bowman cards, here is the forum post with some of this information http://www.mybaseballcardspace.info/forums/index.php?topic=99.0

1992 Upper Deck Manny Ramirez rookie cards are a great card out of the lesser expensive set of Upper Deck.  There are also rookie cards such as Shawn Green which are worth about $1 in the price guides, as well as Cliff Floyd rookies.

When most sports card collectors are looking for cards to get of a player, a first year card is typically at the top of their wish list.  A lot of these players have cards that are very affordable still, and now may be a great time to invest in the cards of players as it has been years since baseball cards have been in the demand that they were in the 1980's and early 1990's, and one never knows if and when that will happen again.
This site has so many articles, lists of cards from players, and a ton of information from Ebay links with sports card auctions that you really do not need a price guide if you use the virtually inexhaustable resources provided to you here.  I encourage everyone to subscribe to the free news feed with updated baseball card articles.
