To begin the discussion of the card manufacturers from 1992, the best ones in terms of value are 1992 Bowman. Please also remember that the 1992 Fleer Update set also contains a highly valued Mike Piazza rookie card, that is worth obtaining in addition to his Bowman rookie card.
1992 Bowman baseball cards are very tough to find at a great price and offer investors and collectors one of the best variety of rookies and stars available in a regular series baseball card set. Included are rookie cards of Manny Ramirez, Mariano Rivera, Mike Piazza, Cliff Floyd, Alan Embree, Garret Anderson, Carlos Delgado, Troy Percival and others. The boxes are still fairly affordable and the player selection and future value potential is outstanding. This set is highly recommended. This rookie card selection is very wide and offers a great diversity of rookie cards for your collection in just one year of cards.
Keeping a complete set of these cards or an unopened wax box is a great idea for collectors. It has a quality selection of cards including many hall of famers and future hall of famers. Many of the rookies should be shoe-ins for the hall of fame. These cards were limited in production, so that also plays a role in the rookie card prices and values being elevated compared to rookie card prices of the same player in other sets. Also, this set includes rookie cards of some players that did not have another rookie card. This is the only place to get rookie cards from a major league baseball licensed set in 1992.
Out of sets liked by collectors, the collectors I have noticed all collectively believe that this set is limited in production and that it is a great set to own. When they are asked which set is quality and which one will go up in value in the coming years, this is a set that always comes up in conversations as being limited and/or having the potential to rise in price. It is highly recommended by the author (me, the site administrator) that collectors own these cards. That does not guarantee that they will rise in price as they may not, but the player selection and limited availability are two aspects uncommon in early 1990's baseball cards.

1992 Upper Deck Manny Ramirez rookie cards are a great card out of the lesser expensive set of Upper Deck. There are also rookie cards such as Shawn Green which are worth about $1 in the price guides, as well as Cliff Floyd rookies.
Here are rookie cards of the greatest basketball player ever who also dabbled in baseball, Michael Jordan
