The Olympic basketball opening game versus China for the United States was a smashing success for Team USA.  The team soundly defeated the Chinese National Team 101-70.  They proved that they are ready to embrace the road to redemption and scored a lot of points in the game.  The defense was strong as well as the game started out close but in the end, the U.S. was able to run away with the game.

The U.S. Team is going to have to prepare heavily for each game and put its best effort into each game.  Complacency could lead to an upset by any team.    This effort will need to be conitnued in the next game as every team is preparing for the United States as they are the team to beat.  It is going to be fun to watch.
