Charles Barkley rookie cards are in 1984-85 Star Company Basketball and in 1986 Fleer Basketball.  Per the Spring 2006 Beckett Plus Basketball Price Guide, his 1984-85 Star #202 books at $225 and his 1986-87 Fleer Basketball #7 books at $50.  He has another card before the 1986-87 Fleer in a regular set and that is in 1985-86 Star Company card #2 which has a book value of $80.  He also has various othe Star Co. cards in sets issued between 1984-85 and 1985-86 which are great to have.

The 1980's era of basketball cards is very exciting in my opinion.  The games used to be very high scoring and fast paced.  Many players like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and others would score many points per game and would entertain the fans with a great show.  The Star Company cards originally came in bagged sets, that is a great way to purchase them as they are still sold like that to this day.
