Listed on this page are 1978 topps unopened wax boxes on ebay.  1978 Topps consists of football cards and baseball cards.  Basketball and hockey cards have two years included in their titles (such as 1978-79) so for purposes of this article, it will focus on 1978 Topps products with only football and baseball.

An unopened box of 1978 Topps baseball cards is an incredible find, the cards you can get in the packs often would grade very high if you were to send them in for grading to BGS or PSA.  There are many rookies, superstars, stars, and hall of famers in these packs in both sports.

In the 1978 Topps baseball set, some of the cards included in the packs are Eddie Murray rookie cards, #36 in the set as well as a rookie card that has 4 players on it including Paul Molitor and Alan Trammell (#707) (two hall of famers).  There is also a rookie card of Lou Whitaker, #704 and Jack Morris #703 (which is a double print).  Some of the hall of famer cards availalble are Nolan Ryan (#650, a key card in the set) and George Brett #580 (third year card).  There is also a card of Pete Rose, #450 and Mike Schmidt #140.  There is a hall of fame rookie card of Bruce Sutter, #144, who went up in value in the last few years as he was a bit of a surprise entry into the hall of fame.  There are many more cards worth mentioning in this set, so unopened packs, boxes, and vending boxes are extraordinary items to buy.

1978 Topps football cards are led by Tony Dorsett rookie cards, #315 in the set.  This is an awesome card and I am proud to have one in my own collection.  Some of the other great cards include John Stallworth's rookie card, #320, and a key hall of fame card of Walter Payton, #200 (uncorrected error, 3rd year card).  There is also a nice second year card of Steve Largent, #443, included in this year's Topps football card set.  An unopened box would be great fun as there are 528 cards in this set, making it very likely that you would receive most of the cards in the set.  Enjoy your shopping and please visit the site and community here often.
